Shayn Roby’s Take: Even the worst seats in the house are still part of the atmosphere at the Final Four. The Big Screen at AT&T field probably compensates from being so far away from the floor.
ARLINGTON, Texas – In the highest row in the highest section of AT&T Stadium sit David Smith and Johnny Hepworth, two fans from Utah who decided any seat at the Final Four was better than no seat at all.
Smith and Hepworth are in the very last row of section 438, as far from the court as any spectator for the two national semifinal games kicking off the Final Four.
“The very top of the world,” Smith said. “Hell and back.”
This is dedication: With no dog in the fight – Smith roots for Brigham Young, Hepworth for the University of Utah – the pair braved the high altitude to witness the Final Four in person, even if the view leaves much to be desired.
Not a problem, Smith said.
