About Shayn Roby

I am someone who aims to make our world a better place, by engaging one person at a time. I am learning to be more civil toward people with viewpoints different from my own. Perhaps showing true compassion towards others and achieving mutual understanding is the best way to achieve that goal. I am a public school educator and am devoted to inspiring my students to seek knowledge and to think for themselves. I also seek to be a Christlike for them and everyone else, each and every day.

The Alabama Crimson Tide beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish by 17 to cement another National Championship Game appearance. The Ohio State Buckeyes put a 21 point beatdown on the Clemson Tigers in an upset win. (Apologies to Ohio St. for referring to it as an upset win, as they demonstrated that they were clearly a better team than Clemson.)

College Hoops Unbeatens: 12/1 Edition

Currently, there are 112 Division I basketball teams that have at least one victory under their collective belts and still harbor the dream of running the table for the 2020-21 season. Xavier is the only team to have logged four victories.

Seventeen teams have reached the 3 win plateau.

Fourty-three teams have logged a pair of W’s

While fifty-one teams know that at least they won’t have their resumes filled with all L’s for the season.

It’s noteworthy to point out that neither Kansas, Villanova, nor Kentucky are among the ranks of the unblemished.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers both made big statements as to their playoff worthiness as the Crimson Tide sit atop the Roby Ratings with a thrashing of Auburn, while the Tigers of Clemson crushed Pitt. The Florida Gators also positioned themselves (with a hammering of the Kentucky Wildcats) to be in striking range of being selected for one of those four playoff spots should they upset the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. Clemson is in a similar situation, as they would need to return the favor on Notre Dame in the ACC Championship game to secure a spot.
